Tourism for Easter week "Exceeds expectations!"

The declining tendency in tourism figures for the Costa del Sol not only stopped but was actually up in Easter Week compared to 2009.Hotel occupation for this period was at 76%, compared to 66% of last week.

The hope in Costa del Sol is that this will now be the end of the dropping numbers of visitors and that from now on the year on year figures will be positive.
The mix of nationalities is not out yet but it is hoped that UK tourism figures greatly. Many Brits that were here said that they chose and will choose Spain now because it is closer and therefore easier to get to.
All of the different developers and real estate agents that we work with informed us that there were a lot more UK and Irish clients out looking at property and also buying. So the overseas property market also looks set for a return.
Buen viaje a todos!
